Hakuna Matata ist Swahili und bedeutet: kein Problem von Kai-Oliver Krones

Landschaften und Städte können wundervoll sein, aber eine Reise ist nur dann vollkommen, wenn man die Einheimischen persönlich kennen lernt. Meist reichen ein paar Sprachbrocken aus. Vor einer meiner letzten Reisen lernte ich im Flieger noch: Salam, aiwa, lee, shoukran und jalla (arabisch für: Guten Tag, Ja, Nein, Danke, Alles klar). Dieser kleine Sprachschatz bewahrte mich ganz sicher davor auf dem Basar abgezockt zu werden.

Bei meiner ersten Griechenland-Reise lernte ich die Worte: Calimera, ne, ochi, efcharisto (Guten Tag, ja, nein, danke) und orea (schön). Als Kompliment benutzt, verschaffte es mir einen Kuss einer griechischen Göttin. Aber Vorsicht ist geboten, ein unwissentlich geäußertes ne bedeutet in Griechenland ja.
